Analysis codes
Analysis codes are an optional feature of ezacs
and can be used, when your business has more than one activity/income
stream, to provide details about each activity/income stream. For example,
if you provide two or more types of consultancy you can create analysis
codes for "consultancy a", "consultancy b" etc.,.
You can create analysis codes for any type of income/expenditure,
not just consultancy - if your business consists of rental income/expenditure
in respect of properties owned by the business your analysis codes might
be "property a", "property b" etc.,. If the business
also provides consultancy services and property management services
the additional analysis codes "consultancy services" and "management
services" might be useful.
You allocate analysis codes to transactions when you
add a transaction "line item".
You allocate analysis codes to payments by clicking
the cashbook "Pay" button (or the hyperlink to the payment
analysis in the "Bank" column of the cashbook).
Transactions and payments that have not been allocated
are included in the "Unallocated" analysis code by default.
You can add or amend your analysis codes here.
